This assignment was to typeset an entire novel-length book and create a book jacket design. For the typesetting, I wanted the text blocks to be small and constricted, to mimic the voice of the female narrator, who felt trapped under the “bell jar” of depression. For the cover image, I went for a more updated and modern approach, to create interest for a younger audience and breathe new life into this classic book. I chose an image by Sergio Albiac (www.sergioalbiac.com) for the cover.
