This was an online branding facelift for a local septic treatment company, Blackwater Environmental Solutions. They approached me to modernize their website and migrate it to a WordPress site. The biggest challenge was to tell this story from a different angle, that of environmental stewardship, while giving the site a look that was clean and professional. This clean look and feel was what really differentiates Blackwater from its competitors’ sites. I used a combination of outdoor, nature and water photos with some photos taken onsite during actual jobs, and matched the colors to the blue and green in the logo to create a unified brand appearance and presence. I also art directed and conducted a staff photo shoot, the photos for which we used on the site.
